ARABIA, Northwestern. Lihyan. Circa 350-250 BC. Drachm (Silver, 22 mm, 3.39 g), imitating Athens. Stylized head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet. Rev. Incuse owl standing right, head facing; to left and right, uncertain Aramaic inscription; all within rectangular incuse). Huth -, cf. 36-38 (similarly oval flan, but differing reverse). An extremely rare and unusual issue. Somewhat rough and crystallized, otherwise, very fine.
